Capsian (not sure of the spelling) that's in hot peppers are excellent for your health. They speed up your metabolism. It's kinda like a chemical workout for your body. It increases presperation, heart rate and helps your digestive system.
Just make sure they're not too hot for you, some people are sensative to peppers. You don't want blisters on your tongue from them and if they're bothering your rear when they finish passing through your body (trying to say this as nice as possible), then cut down or change what type of pepper you're eating.

You're in luck, Generally spicy foods have important components that actually aid in digestion and immune function of the body. Especially colorful spices (cayenne, tumeric etc) are beneficial to the body. As long as you don't have digestive, gastrointestinal issues (ie: ulcers, diverticulitis, colitis) there should be no issues with eating those things you love. I would suggest including a probiotic (enzyme) (I can recommend brand if you want)in your supplementation program. Including these digestive enzymes allows your system to break the spices and food down correctly and in the proper amount of time. Another suggestion is to have the spices be the emphasis of the food and reducing things like cream sauces, BBQ sauces etc. These generally have to much sugar and fat and negate any benefits the spices may have. Enjoy the spice but pay attention to any digestive issues that may arise and cut back to see if it makes a difference. Enjoy !!

As with anything moderation is the key. Too much and your're wrong. It can help against arthritis espeacilly chilli and cinnamon. BUT if over doing then the body can't cope and you have a nutrtional problem.
Chinese medicine tells us that a person can be made ill by having too much. It creates an imbalance.

Green chillis on pizza = ok. Too many very hot curries or hot Mexican food = not ok. Can cause stomach cancer over time.
