If that's your photo in your avatar, you look close to goal weight so your body doesn't burn as many calories during exercise.
A 200 lb person walking at a moderate pace will only burn 175 calories in 2 miles. That's only losing 1 lb in 3 weeks.
You can eat "very healthy" and still be over on calories. Review your choices and limit snacks, fast food and frozen convenience foods. Don't eat extra because you're exercising.
Water is a good beverage choice, but it doesn't "cause" weight loss. Don't drink too much hoping that you'll lose more.

Don't bother to weigh yourself down with loads of clothes. Just walk/jog a lot, a LOT, every day. This requires a lot of discipline because it gets boring but it is the only way to lose a substantial amount of weight, combined with a lower-calorie diet. You could join a spinning class, for example, or swim, and vary your exercise so that every day you are out moving about. It's important to do more than just the minimum. Keep adding on and break the routines up so you are exercising in the morning and then again in the evening, for example. I read an interview with the trainer from the television show, 'The Biggest Loser'. He said that the dietary restrictions in the competition were important but much more important for weight loss was how much the contestants exercised - which was a LOT. Really a lot. And you could see the results were dramatic.

Because walking will only maintain your current status unless you burn more calories during walking than you consume.
Walking is a very good exercise for maintaining good blood circulation and a strong heart but it's not ideal for major weight loss. To lose weight effectively, you need cardio exercises which will raise your heart rate 60 to 80% of your peak heart rate. Doing this 30 minutes three days a week will also "maintain" your status while increasing it, either with longer exercise time or higher intensity, will start to produce weight loss.

It's called a PLATEAU and sounds like you reached it. Try splitting up your 6 miles ( 2 - 3mile walks or 3 - 2 mile walks ) Also remember no carbrohydrates after 4P.M. A big breakfast, sensible lunch and a light supper. Or 6 smaller meals throughout the day. Changing your routine might be just what you need. Maybe you have lost all the weight you need to and your body is letting you know. ( you gave no age or weight so I'm just guessing about that ).

My guess is that there are two possibilities.
1. Your are already healthy enough and just maintaining, in other words, you don't need to lose any weight.
2. That you have reached the limit of benefit from walking. Walking is a great way to start an exercise program, but one must increase significantly the level of activity. We are designed to be able to walk all day without really wearing out, so you must increase intensity.

You may be eating enough calorie wise but have you need to speed up your metabolism. Try eating healthy small meals three times a day with a snack such as a piece of fruit in between. You should eat every two and a half to three hours to speed up your metabolism.
Make sure that you keep fat out of your diet as much as possible.
Try adding some cardio to your workout, weights etc.
If you burn more calories than you take in you will lose weight.

You need a combination of cardio and weight lifting. Walking is great but it is not really a fat burning exercise. In order to lose weight you need to get your heart rate up to a certain level. If you get done with your walk and you feel fine than you really didn't exercise. While you shouldn't be completely out of breath ready to die, but if you get done with your walk and you don't really feel like you have just exercise you just wasted time in terms of weight loss. Try running, biking, find an aerobics class, those would be better options for weight loss. As I stated before lifting weights would help too. You need to build up muscle as well.

Your body may be used to the exercise pattern. Try walking faster! Aim for a 15 minute mile sustained for those 6 miles. Also, add in some different types of exercise. In addition (not in place of) to the walking, try 3 days of Kickboxing (or aerobic equivilent) and 3 days of Pilates or Yoga, and 3 days of free weights.

Is it a leisure stroll or are you pushing yourself? Are you walking by stride aor isit just a sightseeint tour? Try timing yourself, if you are not doing so already. Then try to be faster tomorrow.
Also, how's your caloric intake? Just because you drink alot of water, if you're eating large amounts of calories you are either cancelling out yours gains or just building leg stamina. Maybe try cutting back on some of the calories per day.
Good Luck.
