I got scratched by my cat on the inside of my forearm about a month or so ago. It scarred over and I thought it was fine. Well, now there is a red bump coming out of the scar. Its not acne. Its a red bump. The only details about it, I can give are, there seems to be a little hook(like a raised line) coming from the side of it. And also, when squeezed very little clear liquid comes out. It doesn't itch or burn or anything like that. Answers would be greatly appreciated.

While there may be a remote chance of it being Cat Scratch Fever characterized by a brownish pustule or pimple at the bite/scratch site from the type of bacteria associated with the infection, it is probably a normal bacteria infection.

Topical anti-biotic salves, (go to the drug store and look for triple anti-biotic salve or Neosporin), should suffice. You should see notible improvement within 1-2 days of use.

If it keeps getting worse, see a doc.

The trouble with the ANC is they thought things would just carry on as normal. They didnt realize that maintenance needs to take place. The reason they can blame Apartheid on the crumbling infrastructure is because they think it only falls apart now. Never mind in the "dark days" Eskom had another crisis. But it was fixed in days.. now years!! The only good they have done is benefited the few. And it is those few that continue to fight the 'good' fight because they are happy. And I guess the other good thing they have done is prompted me to go over seas and enjoy a traveling life style..

That happens sometimes in surgical scars. It's the fatty tissue redistrubting. Just rub it a couple times a day for a month and it should stop. If it doesn't, see a doctor to rule out an subdermal infection.

Go to a doctor. You could have contacted cat scratch disease. My mother was scratched by our kitten. It healed over just like you said yours did. she didn't get cat scratch but needed strong antibiotics for 1 month to clear up the underlying infection.

It's definitly infected. All you probably need is some antibiotics, but go get it checked out. You say it's not burning or anything but it's there and it's bothering you. Good LucK. You'll be fine.
