People who believe in destiny are the ones who look at lifetime movies and think that's what's going to happen vs. People who don't who live their lives how they want and believe what happens to them is of their own making

I took a counseling class and they said it has to do with if we are external or internal as far as how we think the world works. The people who are more external believe in destiny, or people doing things to them etc. the people who are internal take responsibility on themselves for anything that happens to them. They don't believe in destiny because that is something they can't control themselves.

People who don't believe in destiny are usually more motivated to do the best because the fate is under their control.

People who believe in destiny are those who are willing to let life take them wherever it wants instead of taking controll of your OWN life.

People who believe in destiny, imho, are bigger pains in the ***. They tend to not take personal repsonsibility for things. "Oh, I was MEANT to mess up that job interview. It means god has another one for me." and "Shirley was MEANT to die painfully of rectal cancer, to remind us all to get our colon checked."
Please!
