Rosemary Connelly - just google that along with your town to find your nearest group.
They focus on healthy eating and exercise - it is the most sensible, long term plan to loose weight.
Or, keep it simple at home - decrease what you eat by a third and increase your exercise by a third.
Good Luck.

I've tried a few diets across the years including the Rosemary Conelly one and the atkins diet, none of which have worked on me.
Recently my gym instructor told me to try and eat smaller portions 5 times a day. It sounds weird but if you eat regularly, your body will digest it all and not store any. It doesn't feel like it's being starved and put itself into survival mode. Obviously the things you eat need to be good for you too, it wouldn't be any help eating chocolate 5 times a day!!!
It's working for me and so far I've lost 7 pounds of the stone and a half I want to shift, in 3 weeks.
Good luck

Buy a book on nutrition, it shold be ur bible for life. Eat healthy and excersise. Diets dont work seriousley, you may lose weight on the sort term but u will most definitely gain it back and more as soon as u go off ur diet, u should do a lifestyle change. You could try weight watchers cause it teaches how to change ur lifestyle and to be more healthy.

if people would exercise more they would not have to worry so darn much about food...Are you really serious about doing this? We are talking about hard work. Putting down your little debbies, getting off your butt and not only going on a diet but EXERCISING!!! Even if you lose the weight it will come right back if you do not have the desire and motivation to not only look cute but to be healthy. it is going to take alot of inner strength I can assure you of that.
1.) eat 4-5 small meals a day
2.) drink lots of water
3.)exercise every day
4.) do not eat 4-6 hours before you sleep.

Oh, yes indeed! Start by eliminating all dead animals and animal-derived products from your diet. That includes the obvious (meat, fish, fowl), but also cheese, eggs, milk, honey.
Introduce more things green and grown. Drink lots of pure water. And move around twice as much as you usually do. I think you will find this to be a successful regimen even after the hols. Good luck!

The best diet is the one you can stay with and gives you the results you want in the timeframe you want.
For me it would be the Kimkins diet because I'm motivated by very fast weight loss.
For others it might be Weight Watchers because they are willing to trade slow weight loss in exchange for eating low calorie copies of their favorite foods.

You don't really need to go on a diet so much as just cut back the amount of calories you are eating. So you can eat a lot of the same foods, just make the portions smaller.

Rosemary Conley has always worked for me - it's an excellent, healthy diet - not a dumb faddy thing!
I wouldn't go for The Atkins if I were you - too much protein and saturated fats which aren't good for your liver or kidneys!
