There is plenty of writing about the Greek Gods, for instance (I know, common example, but it's something I know about...) And there may well have been a Troy, an Aeneas (Roman, not Greek, sorry) and an Odysseus, who knows? Why not believe in Zeus, Hera, Aphrodite etc?
Or if you are certain there is one God, why not the Muslim God? Or maybe you could do as Jews do and don't believe Jesus was the Messiah?
There is no more proof for Christianity than other religions. You may feel your God through faith, but many other people feel the same for their God - who's to say that YOU are the one in the right?

Thanks for any answers.

The Muslim God is the same God as the Christian God and the same God as the Jewish God, so they do all believe in the same God. I thought every one knew that? They may have different names for God, but they do believe in just one, (and its the same one).
The big problem arises with the Christians, not the Jews or Muslims!
The Christians believe in the' Holy Trinity', Jesus was (and still is) God, he is his own Son, he is also the Holy Spirit.
(God the Father God the Son and God the Holy Ghost)
Does that clear things up for you a bit???? I thought not!!
Where the Christians got this' Holy Trinity ' from no one knows, its certainly not in any Bible.
So just about every religion believes there is only one God, but Christians have given the impression there are a couple about.
As for your question about which religion is in the right? None of them , if some one feels a need to believe in God, that's OK by me, but why must they have 'religion' and Leaders and Teachers to believe in God?

There is only 1 God , The Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and end. Doesn't matter if you are Christian, Muslim or what, there is only one GOD! when you get away from that then there are some differences in beliefs, but the fundementals of all religions are more closely related than people like to admit.
Be kind, love one another, honor each other, etc.
But all religions have deceptive "fundimentalism" where a sect try to read into it their version of it and brain wash others into it.
aka David Karesh, Charles Manson, they took what they thought in thier minds was the right thing (even though defective to most ways of thinking ) and made it their Religious Version. I can pick up the Bible and get something totally different out of it than the next person, it is subject to interpetation. The Koran/Quran is much the same. If you believe in true islam you are a good person who is kind and the Quran teaches peace and love, not hate, despite how it is portrayed by criminals who have tried to use it for hate and crimes against humanity. No different than those that miss use and mis interpet Christianity.
Bad apple in every bunch and they don't speak for the whole!

Well, according to their scriptures the Hebrew god, the Christian god, and the Muslim god are all the same being... only different interpretations of it. The pagan gods of Greece and Rome which were the major opposition at the time of the invention of Christianity were viewed as "false", or "dead" gods. These gods were represented by idols and statues to which the followers would perform certain sacrifices to. The god belief which became most popular soon there after (the monotheistic approach) was seen as a living god who could respond and engage in relationships with humans.

Christianity was the first religion in which it actually mattered what you believed about the gods. In previous religions (Judaism and paganism) you're ideas weren't what mattered, it was more a focus on the practices and traditions, a way in which you lived your life to please the god or gods. With the advent of Christianity this was reversed and the major focus was in what you believed... This made it important that if you wanted to identify yourself as a christian you must share the popular beliefs of other Christians.

In truth, there is no one true religion... in fact i am certain that none of them have the whole truth. Some are just outright fantasy.

Hi,
The ancient Greek Gods were only a myth since they never existed. They were a fabrication from the fiction freak Homer! Same for Roman gods who were only a copy from the Greeks. Being Greek myself, I would like to tell you that Greek Mythology is a MUST course starting from Grade school as well as the latin language. This though comes in contradiction to the country's Christian belief in believing in one God. You'd be surprised to find out that for the past 5 years, there's this new sect in Greece that worships the 12 Gods!!!

Meanwhile, from my personal beliefs and huge research, I would like to express that the foundation in believing in one God is derived not only from the Bible's accurrate prophecies but from archaelogical finds which prove the Bible's validity! If this planet, no matter what religion exists, the majority of the human population believes in one God, there must be some kind of huge impact, evidence, history or something that has moved humans for thousand of years to believe there is one God after all.

The Bible is the only book that has survived afters thousand of years along with so much controversy and skepticism. No other book has survived like this. One can only wonder why, because it can really make us think who's been behind in protecting this book to survive......

Humans have the need to rely, believe and trust in a superhuman power since they created from a divine source! The reason I don't believe in evolution is because humans and animals are created so perfectly that the human mind can not comprehend how was this accomplished and even professionals wonder!

Hope that somehow, at least with my opinion, that I helped a little.

Thanks.

There can only be one God. The one that created all things. Psalms 19: 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. The is only one God that left heaven's glory and came to earth as a man so He could die for the sins of all that would believe. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. He is alive there is only one God that did that. All the other so called gods and prophets are still in the grave. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Romans 4: 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

For the same reason a person will choose one man or woman as their mate and forsake all others: love for that one. That one satisfies all their needs for love, companionship etc. True Christians have no need for other Gods. They have found the true God and have a close personal relationship with that one. he supplies all of their spiritual needs. Why go anywhere else? (see John 6:66-68)

Because Christians believe the Bible and that's what the Bible says. Isaiah 44:6 and 45:5.

Christians are non-believers of all other people's Gods just as atheist are non believers of all Gods, there is nothing unique to atheists about non-belief.

Just FYI: Yahweh=God=Allah. Different interpretations, same god.

And they believe in only one God because their Bibles tell them to.

ask your self how God ought to talk: with the help of historic and obscure fragments of archives spread for the era of thousands of miles and thousands of years, in a tiny little nook of the planet, entrusted to ignorant semi-barbarians who were opinionated, ignorant and warlike? ought to God be capricious and modify his ideas, swap loyalties, gleefully homicide little ones, recommend rape and slavery? ought to he play guessing video games, like am I the following, or am I over there; wager incorrect and also you burn in eternal torment invariably and ever? ought to he proceed to be rather silent and invisible to all who seek for him, insisting they close their eyes and characteristic "faith" as a replace of being given any accessible information? ought to he be irrational, spiteful, jealous, vengeful? ought to he play lifeless? the reality is that God is not any of the deities defined in religious writings. God is in simple terms the eternal skill of the Cosmos, the set of regulations which governs the Cosmos, of which we are each and every and all a tiny fragment. God is non interfering, non intervening, non judgmental, yet attractive and majestic. God is interior you.
