The best places are the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) and the Code of Canon Law (CCL).

Baptism
+ CCC: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt2sect2.htm#art1
+ CCL: http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG1104/__P2U.HTM

Eucharist (Communion):
+ CCC: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt2sect2chpt1art3.htm
+ CCL: http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG1104/__P36.HTM

With love in Christ.

Wasn't there a new large volume on Roman Catholic Catechism just a few years ago? )I'm not sure if it was the "Catechism" or some other authoritative statement).

And on-line Catechisms, etc.:

Or you could write to the Vatican City State

or ask your nearby parish priest.

Probably most good University Libraries would have books which you can consult, and can be verified, referenced, etc.
