I am a contractor and I traveled and stayed at places about 3 months or so.
I stayed in Dallas for about 10 months in a house
and in New Jersey for 3 months in a hotel.
I have a small business in California.

Does anyone know how to file tax in this situation?

no personal income tax in texas. resident for california, non-resident for new jersey. forms will take u thru the calculations and pro-rata calculations for the income earned in the particular jurisdication. they'll want a copy of your federal return attached.

You can file all of them in the state you live in. I moved from Mississippi to ky so I had two states also. I went to H&R Block and they did everything for me. Very Very Easy!
