Hydrocodone is a morphine like drung and is highly addictive.
Your father is ill-advised to be giving this medication to you for any reason unless he is a physician -- and a physician should not be treating his own daughter.
It can do you much harm and little good in the absence of extreme pain states, or which stress is NOT one.
Hydrocodone side effects include but are not limited to:
addiction
allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives)

decreased mental and physical performance
decreased sex drive
difficulty breathing
difficulty urinating
dizziness
drowsiness
dry throat

exaggerated feeling of depression
extreme calm (sedation)
exaggerated sense of well-being or fear

muscle twitches
rash
restlessness
ringing in the ears
sedation
seizures
severe weakness or dizziness
shortness of breath
slow, weak breathing
sluggishness
tightness in chest
stomach cramps

Well, I hate to tell you this but it is not legal for a parent to give prescribed medication to their child, even if they feel it will help them with a situation. Pain killers do not relieve stress, especially hydrocodone. They are addictive and can cause serious problems inside of the body if they are overused. Do your self a favor and stop taking the medication immediately. If you are under stress there are many things you can do to help yourself in natural ways. Exercise, jogging or running, arts and crafts, hobbies, these things will take your mind off of your stressors and allow yuor brina time to relax. When you are ready you can go back to your stressors and view them in a different light, especially when you have been away from them for a while. If you are having trouble sleeping then a hot shower and warm milk or herbal tea can help that at night. Either way do not take medication that is not prescribed for you, and fi your father is a doctor, that raises whole new issues of ethics.

Your asking if this is right? Hell no its not right. Sorry for the langage, I just get so upset when i Hear a parent is pushing these drugs on these children. If your anxiety and stress is bad enough that you need to be medicated I dont think daddy should be playing doctor.Hydrocodone is a generic form of Vicodin. A pretty strong pain pill, and it is also very much addicting.I dont think missing a dose at night will make you feel bad.If you continue taking these pills I am sure you will be taking more than 1 a night. Please stop now before you wont be able to.

It is not right to take pain killers for stress. If things are bad you need to see the doctor who can prescibe something more appropriate.
However there is so much you can do without medication to help yourself :
You need to have time and space to lie down undisturbed. Put some peaceful music on and focus on each part of your body, starting with your toes all the way up to your head.
Tense the muscles first, think about how this feels then let go and feel how different it is. Do this on each body part.
Let the bed take your weight. When you have relaxed all your muscles lie quietly and focus on your body and relax any muscles that has become tense again.
It is best to set aside 20 minutes a day to do this. You see when you are completely relaxed you cannot feel stressed. It gives your body time out.
When we are stressing about things our muscles tense and we may not even be aware of it. When you practise these exercises, it not only relaxes you but teaches you to be very aware when you are tensing up.
The next thing is to find a balance in your life. If bad stuff is happening, or things that make you feel anxious, cut down on them where possible. If it's not possible then you have to make sure you do the same amount of good stuff to balance the negativity.
Remember, it is HOW we deal with things that makes us stressed. Do you tend to hide from your problems? Do you stress out over anything and everything?
Try to hang out with people who make you feel good and not with people who bring you down or make you feel inferior.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Is your dad a doctor? Is there a lock on your door? Has your dad been sexually molesting you? If that is what you suspect or know to have been happening you need to tell someone right away. Tell a teacher or a policeman. Your dad is wrong and needs help.
Stress is not caused by a situation, it's caused by how you react to a situation. It takes practice, but when you find yourself getting upset or hyper just tell yourself, "Stop!" Look at the situation and find a way to constructively deal with it.

Quit taking ur fathers pills. He should be reported to CPS. Vicodin is for pain not for stress. They do not affect everyone the same. Just because they make ur father drowsy does not mean they will work the same for u. If he is that concerned, have him take u to a dr before he turns u into a drug addict.

Hydrocodone is a prescription-strength pain reliever...you shouldn't take it unless YOUR doctor prescribed it for you.
There is always the possibility that drugs can hurt your body--especially if they have not been specifically prescribed for you by your doctor who can evaluate your symptoms and factor in your medical history and height and weight.
That medicine won't help you with stress.

Bikers weren't the only ones there. Anonymous, the hacktivists, hacked their emails and other data. These people and others put out a call to stop WBC from protesting. It seems to be the answer. Leaving them alone has not helped. They go protest funerals. They are animals and need to be tethered. This worked, this is what needs to be done until they decide to stay away from funerals. edit: The leader is not a democrat, you got that information from FOX news, didn't you?

painkillers are PAINKILLERS not stress relievers! And if they are not prescribed for you, then that's kinda illegal and falls under "drug abuse"!
I cant believe your dad would just throw you some pills and say "here, take these!"
And yes, they can harm your body if used for anything other than their original purpose (pain killer!).

hydrocodone is a narcotic, and you shouldn't take it just to calm your stress or nerves. Stop taking it before you get addicted and start having problems. I would suggest to contact your Dr to discuss getting anti anxiety pills
