I would like to know if either of the two breeds are prone to disease. Not that it matters--I would treat any but am curious. He is suddenly prone to sleeping in his water dish?

If you're referring to the Klee Kai -- its breeders would have you think that it is "blessedly free" of health problems, however you may want to consider the health problems inherent to the American Eskimo and Pomeranian, both of which contributed genes to the Klee Kai.

Specifically, I would be concerned about eye disease, i.e. juvenile cataracts, etc.

Otherwise -- as others have said -- there is no such thing as a "Miniature American Husky".

Good luck!

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel -
Prone to syringomyelia, hereditary eye disease, dislocating kneecaps (patella), back troubles, ear infections, early onset of deafness or hearing trouble. Sometime's hip dysplasia. Don't over feed. This breed tends to gain weight easily.

There's no such thing as a Miniature American Husky.
There's the Alaskan Klee Kai that's referred to as a "Mini Husky", the breed has little health problems.

Cavaliers are prone to heart and ear problems. There is no such thing as a miniature american huskey. Perhaps you mean a mini american eskimo dog.

Sorry, there is NO SUCH thing as a Mini american husky. There isn't even an standard american husky. There is an alaskan husky, but they SHOULD NOT be mini. There is a Klee Kai that looks like a mini husky but is not.

Miniature Alaskan Huskies don't have many genetic problems - probably because they are not well known so people haven't begun to breed the hell out of them to make a buck.

Cavaliers tend to have eye and knee problems.
