I am a bartender at a facility that has military balls pretty often, and all the civilians just dress formally...basically a ball gown. If finances are tight though, I have seen many wives jazz up a more plain black dress though with nice jewelry and hairstyle, without a formal gown...
If you do wanna go totally formal, any dress shop around could help you pick out something appropriate! Have fun, and I am sure you'll look great!

You wear a formal gown. Do try to pick a dress that will allow you some movement, as there will be dancing after the dinner and speeches.

I actually were to many protection rigidity balls and also you would placed on soemthing like a suitable gown. imagine of it as a promenade sorta. yet bypass for a gloomy colour gown. adult men will placed on suits or tuxes, and different females will be dressing formal. reliable luck.
