She's not on the right schedule for the time she's being crated. If the crate is small enough the dog will not mess in it unless it has no other option.
Feed her earlier in the morning so she has pleanty of time to go poopy before you leave. Or else feed her a very small amount, and give her a meal when you get home.
You'll have to tweek the system to fit for your classes, but eventually you'll get to where she's pooping before you leave.

Sometimes they just get upset that you are gone. That is not to say that you can't leave your dog by itself, but puppies sometimes get separation anxiety. Our dog did that in the beginning also. But she only did it once. Once she realized that we were coming back and that it was really uncomfortable to have to lay in her pooh then she learned. I wouldn't worry about it. This shouldn't become an everyday issue. She's still young so you may have to clean up a few more accidents before she understands, but most dogs will not go potty where they sleep so it might just take some time. Usually you will have to take the puppy outside every few hours just so that they learn that they go potty outside. Keep in mind if you adopted this puppy from a shelter (good for you) they are used to being able to go when they want, wherever they want. Some dogs aren't fully house trained until they are a year old, but most learn in 6-8 months. Just be patient with her. Just like a baby, she will have accidents until she is potty trained. Good luck!

I think you are missing the whole point! The key word is PUPPY..The puppy is like a baby. It has to be taught what to do and when to do it!! If you take trouble to take the pup outside before you leave, go to bed, or anytime it is going to be alone for awhile it will ketch on after awhile. If I locked you in the closet, unannounced I'll bet you would damned uncomfortable, and alone. If you had to go what would you do. Do you know when I'm coming home? You might feel abandoned.

A puppy that young will need to go several times a day until they build up the muscles needed to hold it for longer periods of time. You'll need to be more patient with her and take her out more often.

Off schedule and it also is probably because of early weaning and seperation from it's mother...
It happens depending on where you get the dog from...
an animals mother teaches it not to do that... they know instinctively from early ages if they are trained by her to do so...
If they are removed too early, you can't expect them to know what they were never taught to begin with...
Giving a newborn puppy enough time with its mother is imperative for learning such skills.
Now it's up to you... do what she would do.

A puppy that young can't control it. Watch your feeding and potty break schedule to be sure your'e in tune with the puppies digestive system and be sure they have lots and lots of potty walks - for your sake and hers.

Either the crate is too big or you are not taking it out enough.

she could be mad or it could be that you need to adjust the feeding habbits feeding when you get home instead of before but either way rub the nose in it so the pup knows its not ok
