What is your source that says believers are more happy? I mean I believe it because ignorance is bliss but......................a source would be good. On the other hand, I think it is a trade off - for example, if you are a believer, you may be happy and accept that you are overweight and uneducated, working a low paying job - if god had intended it any other way, he would have made it be that way. If you aren't a believer, you may be unsatisfied with what you currently have, and go back to school, become more educated, get a better job, and accomplish more. Ignorant happiness or self-improvement, continuous learning and accomplishment? Your choice - or maybe you can make both work.

Believers tell you that they are more happy, but this does not mean it will be the case for everyone, like I said before everyone is different. What makes one man happy, might bring another man pain and suffering. Religion brought suffering in my life, because some of it defied rational thought, and rational thought is something I use everyday, even in my work, it is difficult for me to jump back and forth with that type of thinking.

What makes you think believers are more happy? Look at that poor guy Ted Haggard, messed up by religious hypocrisy, no I don't think believers are more happy at all. Anyway how could anybody hold statistics on happiness... that's nonsense.

Oxymoron. I want to pick up the book, but I don't want to pick up the book....so I am stuck. You describe something that confuses me. You have a mind that can choose, unless there is some genetic mutation...but, then, you couldn't move or ask questions

Why can't you be one. It can't be because of your sin-because we are all sinners and He cares for all of us. It's not that God doesn't love you- 'cause He created you as you are, flaws and all, and He wants to help you in all areas. It's not that you can't reach Him because He says that when you seek Me you will find Me. So why do you feel you can't?
