Ihad the same problem last winter, or whenever it gets cold, and no-one has come up with an answer yet. When the weather gets colder, my head feels like it is in a vice, especially the back of my head and my teeth ache as well (but there is no problem with my teeth). I also get very dizzy. Is it a sinus problem or what?

If you had sinus problems the bones of your face under your eyes would feel bruised plus you would have a runny nose sometimes. Your problem is that you get so cold you are holding your body rigid. Tensing your jaw, hunching your shoulders for example. Wrap up more warmly and wear a hat to protect your ears from the cold too. When you get in after being out in the cold try and relax all your muscles starting with your toes. Have a warm bath before getting straight into bed with a hot water bottle. Oh, and get some warm stylish pyjamas. All the best.

I was having similiar headaches from the cold and I started taking aspirin as a blood thinner and anti inflammatory agent.Cold constricts the blood vessels.More fluids, warm hats, all that helps. Sudafed at bedtime helped too.

There are complementary therapies which might help. Try speaking to a craniosacral therapist or a cranial osteopath. Even Indian head massage may provide some relief.
Good luck,

I guess you've posted this question because you've become desperate. Pain can make you like that. I'm not an expert in this field but you could have a condition called neuritis or sinusitis which can be aggravated by low temperatures. If its possible, ask your doctor to refer you to a specialist.

Do you find the cold weather depressing?

It could be your attitude/state of mind towards the winter.
