I believe in God. I believe man wrote the Bible, and I agree with you that it is inaccurate. That does not mean that God does not exist. For the same reason, just because you do not accept part of it, does not mean you cannot accept God.

The answer is yes. No matter what, God still exists.
There are some wrong interpretations of the Bible such as The New World Translation provided by the Jehovah Witnesses-- they change words and passages to fit their own false religion. But God has, through His own power preserved His Word. Whe n the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, it was copies of scripture that was word for word of the Book of Daniel, yet the Dead Sea Scrolls were written a couple thousand years ago.

God did not leave us without a witness and this witness now is His holy word the Bible.
Holy Scriptures:
The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration through holy men of God who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. In this Word, God has committed to man the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are the infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the test of experience, the authoritative revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God's acts in history. (2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Tim. 3:16, 17; Ps. 119:105; Prov. 30:5, 6; Isa. 8:20; John 17:17; 1 Thess. 2:13; Heb. 4:12.)

yes of course. The Bible is a collection of allegorical and symbolical stories - you say yourself that it was written by man, so in that sense it has no relevance to the existence of God. After all, God was there a long time before the Bible was written. However, the fact that we also have the Koran and the Torah etc, which have similar stories and moral beliefs, might add weight to the existence of God.

Yes. The Bible was written by people trying to explain the spiritual experiences that they had.
A finite mind attempting to grasp the infinite is going to have problems. Prejudices, preconceptions, and misunderstandings will interfere with the communication. Just think of a modern physicist trying to explain how a television works to a peasant from the Dark Ages - he'll have to dumb it WAY down in order to get it to a level that the peasant can understand, and even then the peasant will probably get some of it wrong. When you have two beings of such different mental levels as man and God/dess, that just makes it worse.
I believe that most religions have a core of truth to them, and that core lies in their connection to something bigger than us. Religions are simply different ways of approaching the Infinite. None of them is perfect, none of them are for everyone because we're all different.

I am not a Christian..... yet, knowing the Bible was written by mortal man, I believe it has some good messages (and a lot of "fairy tales"). God lives within each of us.... and I believe we are all going in the same direction. Whether we are Christian, Buddhist, Pagan or any other "religion"........ we are each taking different paths to the same destination. True spirituality does not need so many "rules" that organized religion seems to "provide". So, to answer your question, yes God is real in whatever way you choose to believe.

The Bible was written by man but inspired by God, God gave those men the words to write. The Bible is the word of God.

Yes there are many contradictions in the Bible. There is also many books that where left out. Why is this? Because people translated the Bible and if they disagreed with something they would leave it out or mis translate it because they where not inspired by god. But god does excist and god has restored his true church on the earth. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints.

Absolutely. Many atheists point to the various contradictions in the Bible as evidence that there is no God. Why they think the Bible must be accurate in order for there to be a God I do not know.

In the bible,
everything is TRUE.
But only some of it
actually OCCURED.
The apostles wrote the bible, with God at hand,
he told them what to write.
Everyone actually NEEDS something to believe in.
I know something is there,
because man is too stupid, for lack of better word, to come up with the idea themselves.
The bible is a guide book, I guess you could say,
as are the 10 Commandments.
