Don't worry. You don't have to completely understand. The human finite mind can never really understand God's trinity nature.
See, there is only one God. But He is three persons, The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
St. Patrick explained it to the people of Ireland by comparing God to a shamrock. It is one being, but has three seperate leaves that are all made of the same substance, and are all equal.
This is what the Westminster Catechism says:
How many persons are there in the Godhead?
There are three persons in the Godhead, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And these three are one God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory.
It was the Father who created the world. It was the Son (Jesus) who went down to save it when He died for us. It is the Holy Spirit that fills our souls when we repent of our sins and become Christians.
The Holy Spirit is also our conscience. It's that feeling you get urging you not to do wrong.
Read about the day of Pentecost in Acts 2. The apostles were praying together in a room, when the Holy Spirit filled them, and they were full of the joy of the Lord. Tongues of flame settled on their heads, but did not burn them. They went out into the street and preached the gospel to people in all languages; languages they didn't even know.
But just because you don't speak in tongues, doesn't mean you aren't a Christian, and you don't have the Holy Spirit.
You will, because God will forgive your sins if you ask him to.

Praise God that you are seeking him and want to invite him into your heart and life. Deciding to be saved is one of the best decisions you can make! I will definitely be praying for you. You may not fully understand everything when you get saved or become a Christian. That's ok. Once you invite him into your heart/life and seek him, he will reveal everything you want to know about him to you... all you need is to believe.
The Holy Spirit is apart of the Holy Trinity: Father God, Son and Holy Spirit. God sent the Holy Spirit as a Comforter to man. Read John 14 and Acts 2.

I take the Holy Spirit as the means, energy or way something gets done. By accepting Jesus in your life you allow the Holy Spirit to begin his work. He´ll do the rest. You´ll feel him. Remember that we live by faith. Let the Lord into your life- you will get three for one. God the almighty father, Jesus our redeemer and the Holy Spirit the mighty helper. Read John 15:26, but if you have a chance read all of Chapter 15. It will be the best thing you have ever done.

Think of the Holy Spirit as a force that comes to you to lift you up. Empower you to be a Christian. Give you spiritual gifts. People say when they recieve the power of the Holy Spirit it's like a lovely warm cosy feeling. Like waves of feel good passing over and through you. Too good to be you telling yourself you're having a good feeling. It has to be from somewhere else!

God is three parts in one, commonly referred to as the "Holy Trinity"; God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Father is the creator of all things, the Son refers to Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit is the part of God that lives in each one of us and actively participates in his will. The Holy Spirit spurs us on to God's will or to doing good. Hope that helps!

When Jesus left, He promised to give us a Helper, the Holy Spirit, He will be in us to guide us in our life.
Our Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit are commonly known as The Holy Trinity. They are One, just as water can be solid/liquid/gas. they are the same, just in different form.
The Holy Spirit grants us gifts at times, such as the gift of praying in tongues , visions, prophecising, healing, and exorcising.
Did you know that the Holy Spirit was mentioned already in the first chapter of Genesis? "The Spirit was hovering over the waters", when God first formed the world.
Throughout the Bible, the Holy Spirit was mentioned too, in the Old Testament, for eg, the Spirit came over the men who came to help King David in his battle, and so on. read the Bible and you'll know more about the Holy Spirit. May God annoint you :)

The Holy Spirit is;
God the Holy Spirit.
God the Father >all three makes one.
God the Son
God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, all the same. But three different
identities. But the same Godhead....
God the father, is in Heaven right now.
God the son, is in Heaven right now.
God the Holy Spirit, is on earth right now.
You accept Jesus you have accepted all.

Holy Spirit is the part of God that comes to live inside of those who ask God to forgive them of their sins, and HE(Holy Spirit) Guides you and lets you know when you sin. Also HE brings back to memory the thing you have learned, and when you cannot think of what to pray because you are so overwhelmed Holy Spirit can communicate it to God.

Not until the fourth century C.E. did the teaching that the holy spirit was a person and part of the “Godhead” become official church dogma. Early church “fathers” did not so teach; Justin Martyr of the second century C.E. taught that the holy spirit was an ‘influence or mode of operation of the Deity’; Hippolytus likewise ascribed no personality to the holy spirit. The Scriptures themselves unite to show that God’s holy spirit is not a person but is God’s active force by which he accomplishes his purpose and executes his will.
