We've had pups shipped to us and we have shipped puppies to several different states with NO problems what-so-ever. We have used both Delta and Continential with great success.

Make sure you get a State Health Certificate (Certificate is only good for 10 days, so plan accordingly) which is required for shipping.

The water bowls that come with the crate, fill them and freeze them the night before you ship. Make sure the crate is the appropriate size for the pup. They need to be able to stand up and turn around. I use a small blanket or towel that has been with the puppies prior to shipping (something familiar)

Alli: breeder probably fed them before shipping them. Did you ever consider they may have been sick before they were shipped?

I have personally not done it. And i'm sure sometimes the puppies are fine. But i work at a vet clinic, and since i've been there (4 months) we've seen two puppies come in sick from being shipped by the breeder on a plane. I think it would be a better idea for you and the breeder to try to meet half way by car. That way you can keep an eye on the puppy while its in the car with you, and he won't have to stay in a cage in the cold cargo area for the hours on the flight.

All domestic dogs are stunning. this is in simple terms how they are. domestic dogs, with the help of definition, have puppy-canines faces. maximum are also rather playful. What you actually favor to do is seem into what kind of adults those dogs you're searching at turns into in a year or 2. they are domestic dogs for numerous months, and individual dogs for -- because you're searching at small ones -- nicely over a decade. lively and quiet do not in many situations move mutually. . . so i ought to signify you %. one or the different. My min pin is a real stay cord even at 2. . . yet she isn't quiet. She became quiet for the first 5-6 months. . . and then she realized that she ought to bark! yet I knew getting into that the breed became conventional for in certain situations being yippy, and that i became waiting to handle that ingredient. alongside with a number of the others who've said this. . . have you ever appeared at what's on your community animal shelters? There are frequently various of completely conventional domestic dogs there, and the people operating there may also be able of positioned you on a catalogue or discover you the shape you're searching for elsewhere interior sight ought to they not have one (after helping you to narrow down what you rather want?) yet one turns up wanting to be followed.

OMG. The puppy would be traumatized! They live in the cold holding compartment of the plane. They wait on loading docks for hours. They can't get out to pee.
You CAN take a little dog in a animal holder ON the plane where you can reassure him/her and see to its needs.
If you are willing to just ship a dog like it was a package, then you shouldn't have one!

Breeders routinely ship dogs - adults and puppies - by air. I've never had any problems.

My min pin was shipped from AL to WI. I don't recall which airline was used, but it was the one that specifically has a special 'place" for animals - it is heated. I'm not gonna lie, she looked petrified when she arrived. I felt really bad for her, but no matter where I would have got a min pin from - it would have had to be shipped. Once she knew she was "home" she was fine. No traumatizing effects from the flight . . . that I could tell.

I did and the results were not good. Next time I won't fill the box up with bubble wrap.
