Ask her ... she's the one that will have had letters telling her if it's suspended or not

Call the DMV or local police station, they have to tell you and there shouldn't be any charge to find out. She may have to pay to get it reinstated, depending on what it was suspended for.
She better find out and not drive with it suspended, I know at least in NY she will be arrested if caught driving with a suspended license.

Just have her call your local Deparment of Motor Vehicles. They'll tell her without a fee.
