We own a dane. Of course. our neighbor swears Brutus is always trying to knock his kid over. When its actually his big dog thats always loose in our yard. Brutus has a fenced yard and only goes out to do his business.. he's never outside.

Besides that, brutus is afraid of everything, especially men and children. He shakes, and runs away withhis tail between his legs. He's about as dangerous as a wet blanket.

Some people jsut dont like other peoples dogs. Especially if the breed scares them.

My mate was walking his dog, we came to a lake, a person of the female sex was kneeling down getting frogspawn from the lake , for whatever reason , the dog took this as an invitation, run up behind her straddled her and proceeded to do that which he would have done to a female dog, the woman was so surprised she fell forward into the water, I do not know what upset her most , us rolling about laughing or the dog licking her face as she got out of the water, she reported it to the police , but the police had the same trouble as us I would imagine, they did go around and ask him to keep the dog under control

Yes actually about 3 yrs ago when my dog at the time was about2 months old
We was training her off her lead and from no where this woman appereared from these bushes. My pup saw her and without any warning ran over to her and began playing, the woman was playing with her too and during that time i got her back on her lead and apologised to the woman.About an hour later the woman came running after us on my way home shouting that my dog had bitten her.I saw a tiny mark on her hand and i apologised and told her how old she was and it was her puppy biting.I kept apologising till i was blue in the face..but it did no good she was saying she could have my dog put down etc and that she shouldnt be off her lead....again i apologised and said we was taken by surprised when she appeared from no where. Then the arguement clearly was beacuse she didnt like the breed (staffy) and nothing i said was making it any better...so out of pure anger (which takes alot) i told her to go f***k herself and shed be the one who ought to be put down lol
Thankfully we have never had any more incidents,i always see whos around before shes off her lead...and the puppy nipping stopped!

You have a problem If your dog was not with you or with any other person a dog handler in charge of the dog then I would say that you are to blame. Simple explanation. Your dog should be with its handler ie you if you let your dog out then you are responsible for its actions you can never say that your dog is ok on it own who cleans the mess up thats a fineable act so as i said you are to blame being the owner for not being inn control of the pet.

YES! When I took my Italian greyhound puppy to the vet he had to spend the night. The next day when I went to pick him up the vet's assistant said my dog had bitten the vet twice very hard and that it must have been bad for him to mention it. Well they must have done something mean to HIM because he would NEVER bite anyone! The guy even had the nerve to ask me if my dog had ever bitten me because they thought I did something to him!!! My dog was raised with two little kids that constantly tormented him and he never bit or even growled at them. (before I rescued him) So I found a different vet after that.

Nope this is not possible as a assault is only on a human. But if someone deliberately made there dog but you and let it, that could be a assault.

Yeah, one time my dog got loose and it just so happened a cop was driving by. He got out of his car and my dog jumped on him trying to play. The cop said he bit him. My dog didn't bite him out of anger, he was just playing. I told the cop to shut his mouth and deal with it...........so the cop left.

I am just playing.....I didn't tell the cop to shut his mouth, but he did just get in the car and left though, but he got mad like my dog was attacking him or something. My dog is half pitbull, if he was attacking the cop, he would have known it. He was just being a jerk.

From the other side, my next door neighbour once told me that her dog, who had bitten another neighbour and hospitalised them, was 'worried' because he was 'off his turf'.

He had run into this woman's house and bitten her.

Sometimes dogs aren't trained properly and do dangerous things. This is usually the owner's fault; denying it or trying to make excuses won't help.

My Golden Retriever broke loose from his tie-out and chased after this couple who was walking their tiny little dog, and it turned out to be a local cop and his wife, yeah that wasn't such a good situation. He lectured us but that was it so I guess he didn't really "assult" anyone, he wanted some of that pooch though....
