Dollar stores usually ahve some dog toys; and watch for clearance items at Walgreens and other stores.

Take empty 2 liter (plastic bottles), or any size plastic pop bottle, and shove some treats in there. Put the cap back on and give it to your dogs. You can also do this with cereal boxes (although not so much a challenge for the dog) and any other cardboard you might otherwise toss. One of my dog's favorite toys is the empty box from a case of beer or pop. When I come home from grocery shopping she just waits for me to toss boxes at her while I put things away. Cardboard can make for a mess on your floor, but it's better then her chewing my furniture. You can also put a tennis ball in an old sock and tie it in a knot.

Just a few ideas...

i know this may sound silly but I have a boxer and a rotty and they both get through their toys within a matter of days,i got sick of buying expessive toys as this can cost alot of money over a period of time so i went to poundland(which i never usually do) and bought lots of squueky toys from there(although i must admit i did pop the squeekers out of them hehe),i got 6 toys for £6.00 and they love them yet its strange that an old sock tied in a knot seems to be their favourite toy hehehe, try that, that would be even cheaper and they could both pull at each end unlike most toys u get hehe...goodluck..xx

EBAY!!! You can get amazing deals on bundles of toys, or individuals toys, as well as blankets, dishes, leashes, anything else you would need for a dog!!!

Good luck!!

tennis balls and socks with knots tied in them. Thats what we use. Nothings cheaper than recycling your old socks and buying a can of tennis balls.

Soup marrow bones from the super market work great too. Theyre about a dollar for two good sized bones.

Dont boil them, it breaks them down and the dogs will break the bones and choke on shards. Give them to them raw, out doors until the funk is gone.

You should try a bicycle tire. They will play tug-a-war all day with that. Walmart also has good toys, and beds for dogs.

depending of the breed of dog but you can get cheap toys in the dollar store but if they are bigger and destroy toys rather quickly get them the kong my dogs still eat them but they last much longer and in the long run i spend less money on the more expensive toy versus cheap toys

Don't buy them toys - give them empty plastic bottles, tea towels tied in knots - old trainers (stuff the no shoes rule!) and let them play for hours free of charge!
Don't buy them blankets either! Give them your old ones and buy yourself some new ones!

Just go to your local Target or Walmart, they have blankets & toys, that are cheaper than the petstores.
