If you fight the ticket you have to deny exceeding the speed limit. If you say everyone does it you will be admitting to guilt and the judge will fine you plus add court fees. If you fight it you have to make sure they did not use a radar or laser gun on you. Your only chance of beating it is if the arresting officer doesn't show up to court.

you must have solid legal argument for exceeding speed.
perhaps any of these will work
1) emergency life or death to get someplace
2) speedometer broken
3) fleeing mexican ilegals who threatened you
4) changed tires and this upset accuracy of speedometer
( larger tires and wheels)
5) it was a safe speed for the conditions that existed and everyone else was doing same so you had to avoid rear-end collisions to yourself
6) Police erred and did not track you long enough so you were just speeding up to pass hazard (big truck, etc etc)
7) you were only going 65 and the cop lied to fulfill quota
8) cop got you mixed up with another car similar that was speeding
9) your new contact lens (or glasses) gave you a false read on the speedometer.
10) the cop was tailgating so you sped up to make some distance to be safe and he sepd up and so on. he forced you to speed to kep a safe distance. could not change lanes.

I doubt the judge the judge will give you sympathy/leniency for going 25 over the speed limit. I believe the most that you can go over the speed limit in most cities is five miles without being pulled over. Be happy that he didn't give you a ticket for reckless endangerment.

Nope. You're screwed. If the posted speed limit is 65, the speed limit is 65.

I'll put it to you the way an FHP trooper explained it to me. I was driving up I-75 one afternoon, running with the faster pack of about 30 cars doing 85 mph. I got pulled over and when I asked about all the other cars speeding, the trooper asked me, "Ever go fishing?" I said yes, why? He answered "Ever catch all the fish?".
You just happened to be "IT" for that moment.
You are within your rights to question or contest any citation, will it matter? I doubt it.

Nope. You're screwed. Your only chance is if somehow the officer fails to show up for court. Not very likely. You breaking the law just because everyone else does is the WORST line of defense you could offer. It will get you laughed out of court.
Uhh... Poisonkiss (below). Check your math, darlin.'
