You should look into the microbes in the undersea volcanoes, but then you have to ask, would those volcanoes exist without energy from the sun, or would the Earth be a cold, inactive collection of rocks?
The many if not all undersea creatures need the sun, it is the beginning of the food chain which supplies those creatures as well.
Even microbes found in oil needed the sun, the oil is from old plant matter, which grew because of the sun.

There may be some species that do not rely on direct sun..
But remember the food chain and the life cycle... Sun is the primary source so if any part of this food chain breaks the whole ecosystem will collapse.... Unless the ecosystem evolves to adopt itself to live without sunlight

Well, think about all of the animals who are nocturnal. Vampire bats don't need the sun. They have echo-location and don't eat plants. There are many other animals who are nocturnal. It's just a matter of what sort of food they eat.

Virus, definitely virus. Viruses do not possess a cell membrane or metabolise on their own - characteristics of all living orgasnisms. Viruses are an exception to the cell theory proposed by Theodore Schwann, as viruses are not made up of cells.
So, virus can definitely survive .

some corals and fish are so deep in the ocean that sunlight doesn't reach them and they rely on the hot springs that come from below sea floor level. This is probably missing many important details but I remember definitely seeing something about it on telly!!

No exceptions. If the sun did not exist, there would be absolutely no life on earth, ans it would be -273 degC
