Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.
While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.
Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.
I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.
I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.
I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.
Your brother don

Here are a few reasons why I am a Christian:
Bible predictions of things to happen in the future confirm the inspiration of Scripture as they come to pass. Notice the following examples of fulfilled Bible prophecies:
A. Four world empires to arise: Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome (Daniel chapters 2, 7, 8).
B. Cyrus to be the warrior to capture Babylon (Isaiah 45:1-3).
C. After Babylon's destruction, it would never be inhabited again (Isaiah 13:19, 20; Jeremiah 51:37).
D. Egypt would never again have a commanding position among the nations (Ezekiel 29:14, 15; 30:12, 13).
E. Earth-shaking calamities and fear toward the end of time (Luke 21:25, 26).
F. Moral degeneracy and decline of spirituality in the last days (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
The 66 books of the Bible were written:
1. On three continents.
2. In three languages.
3. By about 40 different people (kings, shepherds, scientists, attorneys, an army general, fishermen, priests, and a physician).
4. Over a period of about 1,500 years.
5. On the most controversial subjects.
6. By people who, in most cases, had never met.
7. By authors whose education and background varied greatly
Yet, though it seems totally inconceivable,
1. The 66 books maintain harmony with each other.
2. Often new concepts on a subject are expressed, but these concepts do not undermine what other Bible writers say on the same subject.

I am a Christian not because I was raised that way, My Parents both were Alcoholics, (But not anymore)
I Did have an experience, but I would not call it Mystical, I would say "Spiritual" Before, I had no interest in God and just "accepted" what was taught in schools.
And I have studied the Bible and Other religions and believe that Christianity is the Only Accurate one

Revelation, investigation, observation. Modern science has many truths, but it also has many beliefs that are based on previous theories being correct. The end being justified by the mean. A person who solely believes and admonishes about/with science is no different than a person with religious views.....

I am not a Christian. I guess I was one at one time, but that was before I had a true ability to think for myself, and had to rely on the information that was given to me. As I got older I learned how to do research on my own, and found my own truth, the fact is, is that I don't really know anything about God, and neither does anyone else really, most of what religion says on the subject is just hopeful thinking.

I was not raised up in a church but was raised with christian morals and principles. It wasn't until I married my husband that I started going to church and getting familiar with the christian faith. I took Jesus as savior and have been a christian for 30 years. We raised 3 children in church and they're raising their children in church.

both 2 and 3. it is because of 2 that i know there is a God and because of 3 that i believe in the Bible.
because the prophecy comes true i believe it is from God.
Luk 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

they are actually not Jews using fact Jew's don't think the messiah has come yet. they don't have self belief Jesus so believing in Jesus and asserting your Jewish of course contradicts one yet another.... it particularly is unhappy that there are those Evangelist Christians that decision themselves "Jews". quit this custom now, your disgracing the two Judaism and Christianity.

I am a Christian, because I KNOW Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
The life he gives is total peace, joy, and contentment,
I have hope everlasting.
AND I KNOW--WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT, that I'm going to Heaven when I die.
You?
