1. If you're a teenager, make sure you get at least nine hours of sleep every night
2. Try to get to bed at the same time every night including weekends (staying up late on the weekends screws up your body clock)
3. Avoid consuming lots of simple sugars (ie candy, pop) because when your body burns up their energy you "crash"; also that constant sugar high and crash associated with sugar forces your body to work very hard to balance your blood sugar, which exhausts your body and often will lead to depression.
4. Eat lots of whole grain, complex carbohydrates. These are a nice, slow-burning fuel and you won't crash.
5. Stop drinking caffeine! Your body will become dependent on it, and a person really shouldn't need caffeine to stay awake.
6. Exercise regularly. Half an hour of exercise a day will do wonders for your energy level. Even five minutes of jogging a day did wonders for me!
7. Figure out why this class bores you so much. Are you completely lost and don't understand the material? If so, talk to your teacher and maybe get some tutoring. Is the class too easy? Participate in the class more and come up with some challenging questions; chances are that the teacher is bored teaching the same old stuff and will appreciate your interest.
Good luck!

Take question /answer notes like a combination diary, journal , notes etc. When things get boring write down THIS IS BORING doesnt the teacher know that we know this stuff or whatever else it is that your are thinking. Make as many connections as you can to things you are interested in. DO not lay your head down. Get cold water if your teacher allows you to drink it. If not, buy a small cold compress (the sealed kind that you can just refreeze) and put it in your pocket when you get tired put your wrist on it.

I know what you mean. I have to get up at 5 to play basketball and i usually finish homework and get to sleep around 11. To stay awake drink lots of water, and if that by itself doesn't keep you awake, when you have to go to the bathroom, don't for awhile. I know it sounds gross but, hey, it works. I have also tried coloring or doodling to keep me awake, or look around the classroom and try to notice different things. If you have time set a watch and nap for only 1-3 minutes. It will help to refresh you. In between classes, jog or do jumpingjacks to get yourself pumped up.
DONT- pinch or hit yourself. For one it hurts, and two it doesn't work.

Doodle, write a letter to a friend, pass notes... play tic-tac-toe... start some kind of game with a friend... whatever keeps you out of trouble but entertained/excited enough to stay awake and not die of boredom.
