You need to "finalise" or "lock" the disc to make it playable on other machines.

It may be that your DVD player can't actually read DVD+R - try copying the disc onto a DVD-R disc.
If that doesn't work, try another DVD player - some players are more fussy than others.
If that still fails, try using an up-to-date version of NERO software to make your compilation - NERO is good because it does a lot of the clever behind-the scenes thinking for you, and creates discs that are much more compatible with other sources.

Try using DVD-R. They play in most dvd players.

when the DVD was recorded it wasn't "finalized" this is to say it can be played on other players-also can your player support DVD+ if not it will not play it.

hey you prob burn the files str8 onto the dvd and didnt convert them into proper fiels so try using apollo divXtoDVD its a program and it works great :)

is it a dvd rom please check if not it must wrongly formated or the dvd is spoilt.
