you have to show the state that you are able to support yourself, by showing how much money you can make, and how you are going to school. and show them where you will stay. and so on and so forth. before you can be emancipated. goodluck.

What does being 16 mean. I will be turning 18 in January and i am no where near ready to be on my own. The real world is no joke It has nothing to do with you being in a safe environment. Give your parents the opportunity to raise you your full years of being a child. Regardless of what you think your still a baby. And 18 doesn't make you grown but moving on is kinda of expected at that age but not 16 that's the peak of your life sweetie.

Move out and do what? You can't get a decent job, you have no means of support, and who would rent to you?? You can't vote, you are only fooling your self. Like the other reply said, live by the rules, and when you get old enough to be on your own, you'll wish you could have all the free things you have now!!

When you are 16, you do not have the capability to handle things on your own. You should stay at home or with other adult family members for as long as you can. There is a lot more to life and living than you can understand. It is much harder living on your own than meets the eye.
