Be careful with the brand...if you're using OrthoEvra, quit it immediately! It's caused blood damage, even killed some. I used to use it and it made me sick after 25 hours. I started gagging at one point...I'm surprised I didn't vomit.

I use Ortho-Evra and have found that the rip-it-off-quick-like-a-bandaid technique is the easiest way. To get that sticky spot off I rub it with nail polish remover on a cotton ball right before I step into the shower.

I used baby oil on mine. However, the pain may be a sign of sensitive skin... I had to quit using it (before all the warnings) due to increased pain when removing it. Eventually, my skin started to come off with the patch in some areas. Be careful. But baby oil is much gentler to skin than some other ways. good luck!

hot water and soap. I take mines off in the shower, no pain. If you take it off without water, then it hurts. I was off the sticky crap and it goes away in 3 seconds.

Rubbing alcohol or windex ( yes windex) will remove the excess glue from your skin.
