I've been very reluctant to buy a digital camera, but now I've realized they are very practical (more than 35mm cameras). Which brand should I choose, and which features should I pay more attention to?

Which is better? Chevy or Ford? Porsche or BMW? Mercedes or Lexus? Nikon or Canon? These are all unanswerable questions as they are all "the best" in their class, depending who you ask.

If you have no personal preference, perhaps you would do best by going with the recommendation of your local camera shop pro or a friend who has something that he/she likes. If you have someone who is willing to help you learn how to use a particular camera, add ten points to that brand in your decision making process.

My leaning is to say that Canon is the better choice for small cameras (point and shoots) and Nikon is the better choice for DSLR's, but that's jus my personal preference. If you can post another question... Tell us how much you want to spend, what you plan to use the camera for most of the time, and what your prior experience is with photography. With this information, we will be much more helpful to you.

I would try a digital camera because you can see what picture you are taking and you can always delete it if it doesn't turn out the way you want it to. I recommend Kodak. The features depend on what you need, not what other people tell you. Check out www.kodak.com for all types of digital cameras. If you end up not liking a digital camera you could always try a 35mm!

i personally like sony and love my sony digital camera. if you like the 35 mm style and don't mind a bigger camera you could always get a digital SLR type camera. If you go into stores like best buy they can help explain everything to you and help find the camera that's right for you. i told them what i would mainly be using mine for and they showed me different brands and models and compared and contrasted them which really helped me out.

If you mean DSLR..... Nikon or Canon is the only way to go these two manufacturers are fighting it out at the top. Nikon has just launched a new D80 camera and Canon EOS 400D. Check the reviews here http://www.dpreview.com/

Its a very tough question..

If u are going for a normal use - point and shoot..

go for sony or cannon and they both are more or less same and depends upon ur brand loyality.

if you are going for digital slr - go for canon or nikon
Dont go for sony or panasonic for digital SLR - thast waste of money
