The place in London which is seen as a symbol of free speech is Hyde Park - speaker's corner. It used to be the Houses of Parliament, but I'm afraid times have changed, and now you can be arrested just for standing outside for too long!

Speakers Corner in Hyde Park is a place where anyone can speak about anything they like. You can also legally protest anywhere in the Capital, take the guy outside the Houses of Parliament, he has been there for 10 years, and only once has had all of his hoardings taken away, the police were then prosecuted and had to return all of his banners etc. The majority of which were ruined and he has started collecting again. He lives there all year around and will fight and shout for any cause against any type of inhumanity.

It's in Hyde Park and it's called Speakers Corner. All you need is a soapbox, lots of confidence and a loud voice. I've been there a few times. Get along there if you can. It's fasinating.
