Most people would argue "yes" because you should like someone for who she is, but if the person is rich, she usually is very ambitious and intelligent (two very good qualities) unless she inherited the money. So given this, is it still bad to like someone for her money?

No matter what to say that you like someone for their money will make you look bad. You just said you like her for these other qualities which aren't necessarily associated with her having money. I know many people aren't good people and happen to be rich as well as many people who are good people and happen to be rich. It's not about how rich you are unless you're shallow, it's about how well that person was raised, the attributes that make them a good person regardless of what the balance is of their bank account. So in short... RICH DOES NOT EQUAL GOOD PERSON. it doesn't equal intelligent, or ambitious, or determined, or attractive, or friendly it just means you've got money and you shouldn't really use it in your decision to like someone.

It could be viewed as an asset. However, money does not make the person and as such you should not use this friendship for the cash. Try reversing the shoes and how would you feel if you were loaded and people liked you for that reason (females especially) I'm sure that you would be wary of this.

I think it is terrible to like someone for their money. Now if they are ambitious and intelligent then like her for those reasons. Its kinda like her saying I like you only for your large dick.

if that's the only reason you hang around then yes, it's bad.

however, if she keeps throwing money at you to get you to stay then no, it's not bad. She probably already knows you don't love her and she is ok with it.
