help me.. should i proceed into degree or work for a while to gained experience..

I assume by using the term "diploma", you mean something like an associate degree, rather than a full bachelor's degree. This would mean you've done something like half to two-thirds the number of courses required for the actual degree ... perhaps at a community college or a "feeder" university.

If you intend to pursue a career as a professional engineer, you have no choice. You MUST complete your degree (at least, for North America you do!).

If you aren't planning on pursuing the professional certification ... why take engineering in the first place? A simple diploma isn't worth very much in today's business world.

You will have to weigh the pros and con of each to make a decision. Going for a degree is more valuable than a diploma, but will require more education and money, but you may end up making more money with a degree. If your income will be about the same, then it may not be worth the extra time and money to pursue a degree.

Go for your degree. You may lost your momentum to study if you start working.
