I have a whole lot of green mugs and was thinking of doing something with them for christmas presents. I was trying to make my own hot chocolate powder so that all you had to do was add hot water or milk. But so far mixing variations of sugar, cocoa and powdered milk - it doesn't taste very good. It's great and all to give a homemade present but not if it tastes bad.

First, go get some glass paint at your local craft store. One brand is called GLOSSIES. You can paint on the name of the person you are giving it to, then put the mug in the oven on 250 degrees for 15 minutes and it hardens on permanently.

Next, go buy a tub of premade hot chocolate and put it in your own packaging (for example, a little sack you can also buy at the craft store....tie a nice ribbon around it to close it)

Next, wrap clear film around the whole thing and fasten with ribbon and a candy cane.

Good luck!

Well, the only thing I can think of suggesting would be if you don't mind cheating just a bit. Try mixing some Nestle's Quick and Carnation dry milk. All they would have to do is add hot water.
Sorry I can't tell you the proprotions.
Hope someone else can do better for you.
Good luck

I would go with store bought hot cocoa, and add some mini marshmallows! Then you know it will taste good!
