Not much you or he can do about the baby. You might want to buy ear plugs. A baby cant be told to be quiet. They are just innocent babies and you just might want to get over it and be patient. Maybe you cried alot as a baby too.

Get a fan and ear plugs - this will help you.
Now, this is what you need to do.
Go to your neighbor and offer to take the baby out in the stroller or pram and run him around.
Your neighbor can get a shower and a few minutes of peace and you might just help the baby get to sleep. If you think this is driving you crazy imagine what is happening to the poor parents. By lightening their load for a few minutes and changing the scenery for the fusser, you may be helping yourself as well.
Note that this fussy period is usually short lived although it doesn't feel that short when you are going thru it. Don't whine at the neighbors - it will make you feel small.

Let me get this straight....you can't stand the voice of the baby crying? WHAT? Babies are suppose to cry! Have you ever heard of colic? The baby may have colic and with that condition, sometimes it happens at about the same time every day. If you are that concerned with why the baby is crying and you can't stand it, maybe you should move? Do you have any kids of your own? Did it ever occur to you that the baby may be hungry as well? Maybe you should try to use ear muffs if you can't stand the noise.

It sounds like you have a good re pore with your neighbor so, if it is such a problem maybe you should go over to them and offer to help one night, and while you are helping, you can try to diagnose the problem for yourself and give them suggestions on how to soothe the infant at night.
