In my opinion, religion is an explaination for the unknown. It is human nature to rationalize everything and the things that we can't understand yet, we have to give some reason for it, usually a higher power(s).

So all psychological health topics, are the artwork of religion? Nonsense. someone might want to willingly pick to save on with a faith, now to not indicate, almost each and every human suffers from some form of psychological health situation quicker or later of their life. it isn't an insignificant crutch, it really is a course in life, that many human beings walk. some were born into it, others wanting to save on with it. They felt a connection to it. believe it or no longer, there are different issues contained in the universe, besides the actual. The mind might want to correctly be actual, although the guidelines, desires and mind's eye that dwells interior, is unseen. no longer everyone needs to waltz by life, contained in the agency conception that what they do is incomprehensible, because even as they are tossed right into a furnace, after demise, they are going to finally fade out of all memory and record. Forgotten. they could besides by no ability have existed in any respect. There are some adult men and women of technology who save on with a faith, and entirely remember on it. Having unanswered questions about life, does no longer reason stress. It causes human beings to imagine, to imagine, and ultimately create solutions of their personal. The human ideas is an useful device.

You're not the first person that's ever said that.

That's actually not true at all.
Not every problem a person goes through requires guidance from the lord. When you say problems, that's a pretty broad spectrum. Some people have problems so terrible they have nothing or no one else to turn to besides the lord. Some people have terrible problems and don't have the lord in their lives, and the problem ends up consuming them in the end.But that's not every person. We all have our own fair share of problems. Some petty, some serious.

That's what Jesse Ventura said when he was governor of Minnesota ... but the truth is, it takes a great deal of strength to follow Christ.

It takes a lot of strength to believe in someone who said that being hated, insulted, slandered persecuted, and even imprisoned for His sake would be par for the course.

It also takes a lot of strength and courage to follow someone who said that following Him would involve detaching ourselves from everything we own, and taking up our cross to walk with Him.

In a sense, though, you're right about us not being able to deal with problems ourselves -- but the only problem we really have is getting into Heaven.

And yes, we can't do that ourselves. No one can. Only Christ can do that for us.

Asking for help to do what is impossible for one person is not a sign of weakness, nor is it a search for a crutch.

Strange how, as society has become more secularized, the 'need' for psychological and emotional counselling and the use of 'mood altering' drugs has risen precipitously. It seems more the case that prozac and zoloft and their pharmacological kin are the crutch of the secular who cannot handle everyday problems as they rely on their own lack of intelligence to get them through the day instead of a level of divine guidance found in Scripture.

Nope, Christianity is not a religion but a reality.

Forget religion.

Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Christ is the tree of life.

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

We Cling to Christ, because without Him, we can do nothing.
Those who think they canhandle problems with out Christ have been brainwashed by psuedo secular fabrications, exchanging the truth for a lie.

Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

No. What's so wrong about people craving the knowledge of the Universe? It is no different than wanting to know anything mystical and unknown. It's a fun ride for people to be on every religion gives people morals and values. Just let them be.

Go ahead and continue to live life on your own, and your failures shall increase. But invite Jesus into your life, and there is nothing you cannot do in life. Praise the Lord!!

Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Isaiah 33:6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

It is not the faithful in Christ that are weak, but those unbelievers who are weakin faith, and cannot break away from the grips of satan.

2 Timothy 2:1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

You're right. Religion is a crutch, a sign of human weakness. And to be
honest, religion is not my only crutch. I am so weak, I need a whole
array of support mechanisms to prop me up and keep me going.

I need food. As embarrassing as it is to admit, I am totally dependant
on eating. Without food, I would probably not have the strength to do
much at all. My body does not nourish itself. It needs outside help. So
I eat.

I have an emotional crutch too. I need other people. If it weren't for
the support of my family and friends I certainly wouldn't be where I am
today. And while we are on the subject, I am also quite dependent on my
shoes. My feet would be really sore without them.

The human is a fragile being. We are not self-sufficient. We depend on
external sources for our survival. We need to be fed, we need to be
loved, and we need shoes. I thank G-d every day, for it is He who provides
me with food, family and footwear.

But above all, I thank Him for giving my life purpose. Just as I can't
nourish myself without resorting to the outside, I can't give my life
real meaning without seeking beyond myself.

Maybe that makes me weak. But I think it gives me strength. Even if I'm
hungry, lonely or barefoot, as long as I have divine purpose, I can
face any challenge.
