Every follower of Christ is different, both in faith, temperment, and his love of God. Do you have a logical answer for the hatred or persection of those who call themselves Christians?

Yes The Bible tells us:

Matthew 24:9
"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.

John 15:18
[ The World Hates the Disciples ] "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.

John 15:19
If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

1 John 3:13
Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you.

-So we should not be surprised but rather KNOW that we are speaking the truth and following Christ! This is a good sign actually- that we are following Christ- And I love 1 Peter 4:13
which says:
"Rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so you that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed"

I don't hate all Christians. In fact, most of 'em are pretty cool. They're the ones who say, "Hey, I believe in Christ. If you don't, that's cool, but I'm here if you want to learn about him. Either way, you're a human being and I love you as such." Those kinda Christians kick butt, I got no beef with them.

I do, however, hate Christianity and Islam. Unlike EVERY OTHER RELIGION ON THE PLANET (emphasis intentional), these two have written into them a direct command to spread their religion. That leads to fundamentalism, which leads to absolutism, which leads to the culture clash the planet is staring down right now, and it's the extremist Christians and extremist Muslims who are going to start World War III.

It is impossible to have an intelligent conversion without generalizing. (See I just generalized!). However, one should also be intellectually honest enough to admit to generalizations and accept there are exceptions.

Therefore, just because 'this' christian does one thing and 'that' christian does something else doesn't invalidate the generalization that many or most christians hold a particular view or practice in a particular way.

I'm sure we're hated for many different reason. Difference of opinion from others. Crusades. Middle east conflict. American foriegn policy. We just have to learn not to hate back. Thats important. Hope there was enough logic in there!

Yes, we all base our opinions on what little information we have. This often includes judging an entire group based on possibly non-representative members. If the group wishes to be seen differently, that group must make an effort to promote its true identity and refute the incorrect identity promoted by the non-representative minority.

Because they are those that call themselves christians. True followers of the christian faith would not have different beliefs.

I think that we as Christians think that there way is the best way to follow god, but we forget that when are all one religion. I am gulity of generalizing because in some odd way, it is easier than getting to understand anothers view on god, but I am working on it.

Since christians in the US are attempting to codify their religion into law with creationism, anti-abortion laws and anit-gay laws, what do they expect in return?

I can only conclude that they are not seeking perfection in themselves, they're seeking it instead in everyone else.

"Love they neighbor as theyself" never really caught on with christians. I might change my opinion of them if I saw the majority following thier own "beliefs", but that's quite a rarity.

Type A personality conflict. Competition for attention, public approval. Inability to accept another view or opinion.
