That all depends on whether the gardener and/or housekeeper is here legally. If they are, great. If they are illegal, then yes, you are part of the problem and both you and the worker should be reported to the INS. And you should be ashamed of yourself for hiring a criminal.

If you know for a fact that they are here illegally, then yes you are part of the problem. Just because they are Mexican doesn't mean they are an illegal immigrant.

No, assuming that your gardner or housekeeper is being paid a fair wage and is able to legally work in the US.

If he/she is illegal alien, yes, you are. Are you paying taxes and social security on the employment? You are taking up the space of someone legally seeking employment.

if they are illegal then yes, the one employing them is part of the problem. you can get into trouble for that. i don't know why people can't take care of their own yards, it's very relaxing after a week of hard working. and woman should clean their own homes. it's just a form of slavery, you just pay them less then the going wage.

I have two. And it is the federal government's responsibility to police/protect the borders of the US, not mine. If the government doesn't care about letting illegals in, why should I give a rat's *a*s*s about paying them to do my landscaping? He thinks a stupid wall 700 miles long is a solution - duh, what about the other 1300 miles? He either patrols the border and enforces the law ( with soldiers ) or he doesn't.

Depends. Are they here illegally? Then the answer is yes. If not, then you are part of the solution. Especially if you also are following the law and paying taxes and social security on the wages you pay them.
