Why would there be unless the ingredients were not washed properly?

A set ppm of insect parts, rodent hairs, etc. is allowable in most food.

There can and are insect parts in a lot of things we eat. The insects are the least of your worries. Remember the spinach not long ago? That crap in spinach will kill you.

If you look at ketchup under a microscope you can see all kinds of things, including insect legs.

I am sure that there is to some degree. I used to work in a dried milk plant, and the federal government had guidelines on what is acceptable in human food....and there were tolerances for rodent hair and rat excreetment. Granted it was in the parts per million catagorie....But the point is it was there. Any parts per million is to much..............
