You cannot be fired from your job because you are pregnant. It is wrongful termination.Tell the teacher to contact her union representative and they will probably pay any legal fees that may occur for her in fighting this action against her.Good teachers are hard to find. Get the P.T.A. to also draw up letters on her behalf and send them to the principal and your school board to show your support of this teacher. Keep us posted.

Contact your state attorney general's office. Each state has different laws and processes that she will have to go through. Most likely the administration at the school has documented evey little infraction she has had this school year so that they could fabricate a "reason" to terminate.

If she can prove otherwise ie: high test scores, high success rate of student promoted to next level, and or student and parent testimonies that would be helpful.

Sounds like she works for crappy people. Good luck to her!

A public school cannot fire a teacher for being pregnant. That makes no sense and would open the door for a bank-account draining lawsuit.

UNLESS--- is the father of the baby a student??? If so, then they can fire her.

You might consider giving a call to the teacher's union or the school board. If the situation escalates, I'm sure you can check in with the ACLU.

she can sue them for wrongful termination, but i doubt that is the official reason she is being fired, they can;t fire her for that reason so they will have to officially say it is for something else, she will have to prove beyond a doubt that it is because she is pregnant.
