I'm currently studying to be a linguistics major, and I can tell you if you're trying to use it as a primary area of employment the listed ones are well. Of course if it's a bonus to something else you might consider some of the jobs my linguistics professor has gotten for it: GMC (for their navigational systems), CIA ( to study word patterns, pitches and frequency in voice patterns to determine the guilt or innocence of suspects), and NASA ( to help with a problem a robot was having in understanding the women's commands -due to the difference in pitch between male and female voices). Personally I'm considering the FBI and using the French, Spanish, Chinese, and Arabic I've learned.

I love foreign languages, and I think the good job is to work in air-lines company as for example:a stewart, or in ambassy in different foreign countries, to have contact directly with foreign people with different languages.or you can also work as a translator in foreign societies.
