if you ever figure this out please let me know.
I'm happy with my wife of 17 years but have this female friend that I can't get out of my mind either. seems the people we don't have sex with seem to stick longer.
maybe if we had sex with them then we could forget them but then there's the guilt and what if they are excellent in bed?
I guess I'll just think of her forever.

There's really no way to stop thinking about someone unless you suffer from some sort of memory loss. You gain memories over time.Trust me no matter how hard you try to forget there will always be something to remind you of that person, whether it be a smell, sound, taste, or place etc. you have to move on with your life especially if the person that you feel this way for does not have mutual feelings.

think hard though this and think about which one do u really love. cause this guy u met 5 years ago might just be lust, and if u leave the one u love for this guy u barely see at all and it was just lust, then there is only very lil chance for u to get back the one u r with right now. "dont leave someone u love for someone u like! cause the one u like will like someone else" Good luck!

Tell the other person that you only talk to only a few times a year that you think it best if y'all cut communication because it is not fair to you or the person you are with now. My fiance's exes do that to him send him an email once in a while and it drives me crazy. Like she is trying to make sure he does not forget about her..

Doesn't hurt to have a friend. If you have feelings for this person then you need to put them on the table and let them be know. Let the other person go so that they can be happy.

how can you love someone you only talk to 4 or 5 times a year? but then again, it's probably easier. i mean, you don't see any of his faults, he sees none of yours, he's probably very supportive of you in all issues and agrees that you're right because he only hears your side...
put it in perspective. love the one you're with!

sounds like this person is a regular steady thing in your life, which is why you think of them when changes happen. it could be something more but do you want to risk the loss of friendship if it fails?
