That's a very good question, and I applaud you for being responsible and wanting to check into this first. I'm assuming the laws are probably different in every state, so please check with your state's licensing board for further details. Good luck to you!

You will want to check with your state's licensing board. In the state where I live, any time you begin taking regular care of a child who is not related to you, you need to be licensed. The licensing requirement is not based on the number of children in your care. I have been a licensed home daycare provider for 20 years. I am allowed to care for up to 6 children at any one time. Included in that number are any of my own children or related children who are under the age of 7.

It probably varies by the state, but the general rule is that you may watch children from ONE family on a consistent basis without a license. So, if you have four siblings in one family, you can watch that many children. But, they all have to be from the same family. Contact your local licensing agency about the specifics where you are (usually human services or child welfare can point you in the right direction).

Use the site below, it has resources for finding daycare. If you want a specific area just use the google search bar and type in (daycare+city) it should give good results.
For regulations, use the links in the center of the page, it has individual states licensing and regulation .

properly to Nina, definite a femur bone can destroy in a sort of saucer toys, even even though it does no longer mean each toddler's bone will destroy. perhaps you have wrongly excused her. i'm sorry yet in basic terms because of the fact she is a non-authorized daycare homestead does no longer mean all of them are neglectful of the youngsters they watch. injuries take place. definite, that's weird and wonderful that she could no longer clarify the burns, yet do no longer knock the non-authorized daycares because of the fact of it! of direction, I say this because of the fact the two my teenagers stay at a non-authorized daycare homestead. even although, I checked her references, she confirmed me that she has a certificates in CPR and common help, gave me a replica of her drivers license and a certificates that she has no violations, tickets, and so on. and don't tell me that oh they could be pretend, blah, blah. you're able to be sure you're putting your toddler in solid care. to respond to your question you're able to ask the DCS worker whether that's had to pass to the attraction.
