Saw a 46" Sony XRB2 LCD TV for a little over $3,000.00, is this a good price?

It is online and the shipping is free. Does anyone think it might be any cheaper after new year? I really would like to have this TV, but need to get the best deal possible as I have a limited income. Thanks for any help you might have.

The "normal" retail price is $3800 - $4300, but Sony is selling them online for $3100 (as is Best Buy) in sales that supposedly end today.

There are several different new 46" XBR2's selling for $2600 - $2900 on eBay. On Amazon.com, you can buy it new for $3000 flat, with no shipping cost (which can run up to $300).

no way im sure you can get one for way cheaper at Cosco or Best Buy
