They usually start to appear as you get bigger - around 30 wks or so but every woman is different.
You can use all the moisturizers you'd like but none of them will prevent stretch marks!!! They are definitely hereditary and if your mom has them you will probably have them also.

i didn't get ANY stretch marks until the last 4 weeks...i didn't think i was going to get them but towards the end of pregnancy you grow so rapidly and stretch marks are hard to avoid...i didn't have a single one before i got pregnant, and now i'm trying everything i can to eliminate them.. the only thing that will help is to use cocoa butter or some other lotion. it will help you to not get as much, if any at all. every woman is different though
congradulations on the pregnancy!

With my first pregnancy I didnt get them until I hit my 8th month then all of a sudden my belly was covered. With this pregnancy I'm a little bigger so a couple of the already existing stretch marks have stretched a little more but well no big deal at this point.

You will prob get them as your belly starts to grow. To try to prevent them, or make them a lot lighter, start now by massaging cocoa butter or a cream that has vitamin E in it.
