Introduce the potty as early as you can.. Even if the child isn't ready for it.. My son never took to the potty chair.. I ended up training him on the toilet.. I got him the little seat that fits on the big potty and he loved it!!

First make sure they are old enough to have muscle controll. If they are not wait. Rushing into potty training can be frustrating for you and your child if they are not ready. I have four girls each one was differnt some were very hard to train others very easy. The most you can do is be patient. Accidents will happen and it's o.k. no one gets it right the first time. This is a very new process and can take months to master. Afterall how long have they been using a diaper. they are use to that. Now they must get use to something new. Sometimes it is better to start in warmer weather. Toilet seats tend to be colder in winter and often shocking to sit on. We do't want any dicouragements. Always praise your child even if an accident occurs you can tell them it was a good try. Thin panties were she can feel the wetness really do help. A seperate potty chair or one that attaches to your toilet or just the toilet itself does not really matter. They all work the same. Letting your child see you go potty can also help so she knows she is not alone. Sometimes sitting and waiting is hard try reading or singing while she sits on the potty. Always praise verbally you can also give little stickers or such but verbal praise is best. There are lots of books and even videos available as well. It will happen. Good luck.

Get them their own toilet, and talk to them about using the potty like a big kid.
Always leave the door open when you're peeing and let her follow you in, talk to her about going potty when she feels she has to, and how to be a big girl, and not a baby.
My mom didnt make me go potty, and i was trained by 18 months. Even clear through the night. Girls are wicked easy to train.

Put them in a pair of pants so they feel uncomfortable when they do something - they soon learn. It's great if you can be out in the garden playing - so no clean ups in the house. Always have the potty ready and ask if they need to go, often. Have lots of praise ready.

Get a little potty for them, Walmart sells one that actually makes a flushing sound. Make a huge deal with when they do go potty. First take them with you and let them see you going potty, say something like "see mommy's going potty" and say "do you want to be a big girl like mommy and go potty?" Then put her on the potty and turn the water on so it sounds like someone peeing and when she does make such a HUGE deal about it. I grabbed my daughter and ran around the house saying "GOOD GIRL you went potty on the toilet like a bit girl" and then we'd run around the house (holding her) singing "you went pee pee on the potty, pee pee on the potty" and she loved that and wanted to continue.

Believe it or not, I found the easiest way was to just go out with them and let them pick out new underwear. Once they start wearing them, there will be a few accidents but it is such an uncomfortable feeling for them, they figure it out very quickly. Pullups are worthless and my daughters only use them for night time so they feel like they are almost wearing underwear. They are such deep sleepers, occasionally night time accidents happen still. Good luck!

Well tell them if they sit on the pottie and go then you will stamp there hands or give them stickers! It always works, and when they stop wetting themselves tell them you are going to have a fun day with them and take your daughter to like Chuckie Cheese.

The easiest way is when u got to pee let the child follow u to the bathroom and say pee pee and she will hear u pee pee and then she will copy u and do the same.
Next u will have to teach the kid to wipe butt from front to back.

I started my daughter late at 21/2..it was tough at first and she was a little afraid to sit on it..but I told myself that I will not force her..when she is ready she will do it..and she has been going on her own for awhile now..my daughter is 3 now and soon will be 4..sometimes it not good to force them but introduced the toilet to them..explain to them that they are getting big and part of getting big is to use the toilet..
