Cut back on the number of Cokes you drink in a day. Say you have 6 a day, try to cut back to 4. Then cut back to 3. Then only let yourself have one at meal times. Drink water, juice, tea or milk the other times you feel the need for a drink. That is I got down to only one a day.

Soda is a real health concern today for many people, because it does add so many empty calories. It's liquid candy, which is how you have to start looking at it. First and foremost, make sure you're drinking enough water. Most people are borderline dehydrated from not drinking water. When you do this, part of your liquid cravings will subside. Many people will say switch to diet. This is a good start, though you might dislike the taste initially. You must be patient with this, however, and keep trying it until you can tolerate diet as a substitute. A lot of people like soda for the carbonation, so you can try drinking seltzer water with some lemon as a low cal drink. Other low calorie drinks are tea, Crystal Light, and some juices, which also contain nutrients that soda is devoid of. You might not be able to go "cold turkey," instead having to ween yourself off the soda gradually. Get down to one can a day, then every other day, etc.

I've never seen anyone with a soda addiction. Okay, just try and drink it in moderation. Like, drink water juice, or teas then give yourself an off day where you allow yourself to drink some soda. Or you can just try and just drink soda on special occasion like a party or when your family goes out to eat. That's what I do. I only drink it occasionally or when I get a craving, but that's only once in a while. You're still young, so I wouldn't say that you have a problem. You only think that you do.

It`s the caffeine that has you addicted. I was also a Coke fiend until I was diagnosed with Diabetes and had to stop drinking it. I tried Diet Pepsi and now I`m a Diet Pepsi fiend. Try it, it`s a good alternative. I know I should have said drink juice or something else PC but at least I`m honest!

Convert over to diet coke...it will take a while to like it. When I did it I was working in a restaurant at the time and I would drink 1/2 coke 1/2 diet coke until I got used to the taste. Eventually I was drinking full diet and now I think coke is gross! Diet mt dew is my favorite now.

Try drinking diet 7up or diet coke. They really do taste like the real thing, You can't tell the difference. All that sugar = calories (160 per seving) = pounds. You're better off drinking a lite beer (97 calories) every now and then.

Try some no calorie, no caffine drinks, like teas, juices, crystal light etc. You're probably hooked on the sugar and the caffine. If you can tolerate the taste, you could switch to diet coke. Otherwise, I would stick to diet non-cola sodas they will be fizzy and flavorful, without the bad stuff

Just go for water every time you think about having soda... then pay attention to how much better you feel!
I stopped drinking soda two years ago, and every now and then I'll have a small amount, and it makes me feel horrible :(
