I have always wanted to get a tattoo, then I changed my mind and decided that tattoos on women look trashy and disgusting as they get older, but my best friend has recently had a small, tasteful tattoo put on the inside of her wrist and once again I have started thinking about getting one myself.

I want a simple tattoo featuring the outline of a horse. No colour or anything, and no more than 3 inches long.

But where should I put this tattoo? I am getting married next year, so I want to be able to conceal it for the wedding (and on other occassions), but I also want to be able to show it off sometimes.

I am not a skinny girl, so I don't wear midriff clothing or anything, so I don't see any point having it done on my lower back, backside or stomach.

I would like it on the inside of my ankle but have been warned that this is dangerous as it causes blood flow problems.

Any suggestions as to where I should put it, if I get one?

First off, the blood flow thing with your ankle is false.

Second, I think you should stay with your decision not to get one. I realize that some people think they are cool, but believe me, they are not. The very fact that you want it put somewhere on your body that it can be concealed should tell you that much.

If you do get one, think about how it's going to look 10 or 20 years down the road. If you change your mind and want it removed it's expensive, painful, and will leave a scar.

Then there's the fact that if you have a tattoo you cannot be buried in a Jewish cemetery.

It's your decision, but think long and hard about it because once it's done, it's done. Don't let anyone talk you into it either.

If you want it on your wrist go for it, I have a star on the inside of each forearm, and out of the 100s of wedding pictures there are only a few where you can see my tattoos. And they are a medium size. Make sure you get what you want though, It's hard to change it. And the blood flow problems is crap! Good luck!!

my wife has a tattoo of a butterfly over her left breast. She took the image of a butterfly with a digital camera and then to the tattoo artist who laid down the colors perfectly.

My girl friend has tattoos of dragon flies and passion flowers over her breasts. When she and my wife are naked together it looks like mother natures' garden

I suggest putting it on your upper-front thigh area. This will still be concealed from view when wearing a short skirt. Sexy!

I suggest the small of your back.....it seems to be a favorite place among women......it's easily concealed and easily revealed!!!

Good Luck, hope this helps!!

I have 15 tattoos, and I am not trashy, thank you.

If you're questioning it that much, just don't get it. Sheesh.

If you plan to wear your hair down and long, then on the back of your neck.
