Okay I have a friend who has had years worth of bad times and now everything is going right for her. She still has anxiety wondering what hurdle is lurking around the corner, she has what I classify as anxiety attacks (hyer venitlating, shaking, crying for no reason). I think she has PTSD from the hard times she has had in the past, can that be true?

Depending on the severity of her bad times , yes it can be true. Each human being reacts to stress differently and it does sound like she needs some professional help.

That can definetely be true. Anything abnormal that happens to a person can have bad effects. If she has flashbacks of bad events that is a sure sign. I was hurt by a lot of men in my life, so now in my adult life, I find it very hard to trust men. I feel like they are all liers. I'm just waiting to get hurt again or for something dreadful to happen to ruin my life some more. It also sounds like she has some anxiety. PTSD can be a leading cause factor for many other illnesses such as anxiety, bipolar, eating disorders, and countless others. She should probably see a therapist for a complete diagnosis.

Yes, that could be true she has some emotional damage somewhere and she should see a phycologist have some test it could be bipolar or like in my case both! Yesterday I heard a gunshot and very close to me, the effects from the bullet and the impact I could hear falling about 50 feet behind me. I freaked!!!! and bad! from that point on my night was doomed. It triggered my bipolar my drinking which I was very surprised I only had 4 and stopped there any other time I might not have... Certain types of motor motor home will trigger my P.T.S.D. as well some smells... Encourage her to get help!

PTSD is a mental disorder that is caused by a traumatic event or events in your life {such as sexual assaults, witnessing a violent event, 911, anything that a person has great difficulty adjusting to after the event.} Medical help should be sought, this disease does not get better by its self.I have never heard of hard times causing PTSD but it could have been some horrible things that happened to her that you do not know about. Almost everyone has had hard times or difficult times in their life but that is life. Try to find out what she is afraid of and get her to the proper medical facility that addresses that problem.
