He is probably selling plasma which is totally safe. Most places only let you do it twice a week. They put the stuff they dont use back in you along with saline to keep you from dehydrating. There are people who stash their own blood before a major surgery that give take a pint almost everyday. Your body replaces it quickly but plasma isnt quite the same as donating blood.

Normally you don't sell blood. I pretty sure you can only donate blood. You can however sell plasma. That is totally healthy. You do get a screening each time you go in to make sure your healthy enough to do it. I used to donate plasma for extra cash as well. Its safe and it helps alot of people. I wouldn't worry they don't let you go in more than required.

It's not unhealthy. Our body keeps making more blood all the time, so we can spare some. He just needs to wait 6 weeks between donations or he'll be giving too much.
Your son is actually helping to save lives. Hospitals never have enough blood to give to patients who need it.

I think you might mean he's selling his plasma, and it's totally safe. A great way to make a little extra money and help people at the same time.

There is always a need for blood. U can only donate once every six weeks I think (I'm not sure though) It is not something that he can do every other day. It should be fine.

as long as he does it in a controlled environment (with a doctor in an office, or blood donor place) it should be fine.
word of caution: he should give some time (2-6 weeks) between donations, to give his body time to replenish.

as long as he is waiting the required time before giving. if its every month this isnt healthy and he should go back to the required time between sessions. but as long as the place is clean then there shouldnt be a problem

I don't know is it healthy but it's inhuman to sell a blood. Maybe one day he will need a blood and he will not be able to pay for.

There is a high risk of catching AIDS, however this can be reduced by avoiding swimming when the pool is closed.
