Her cheeks will be bright red, not hot and no fever

She most likely has rosacea. I have it and my checks will turn red for apparently no reason. But typically the reasons are:
- when I'm nervous or embarrassed
- when I've been in the wind
- when I've been exposed to excess cold or hot temperatures
It's annoying, but nothing serious.
If you are still concerned, please make an appointment with your Doctor or even better, a dermatologist.

Does this happen when she is eating? I have a babysitting girl whose cheeks turn bright red when she is eating hard foods like crackers, cereal, chips, etc.... The doctors have no idea why. She's been like that since she was a baby. They said it was nothing to worry about.

If you aren't sure....ask your pediatrician. This information is taken from babycenter.com

It could be fifth disease, also known as parvovirus B19 infection, erythema infectiosum, or "slapped cheeks disease" (and if your child has it, you'll know why it's called that). Fifth disease is one of the red-rash diseases common in childhood, along with scarlet fever, measles, rubella, and roseola.

Fifth disease is caused by the human parvovirus B19. It's a relatively mild illness that shows up most often in preschool- and school-age children in the spring, and most children recover from it with no problems. Babies and adults don't often get fifth disease, but they can.

Treat the virus as you would a cold, with fluids and rest. Your practitioner may recommend acetaminophen or ibuprofen for a fever or to ease discomfort. (Never give a child aspirin — it makes him more susceptible to Reye's syndrome, a rare but potentially fatal disease

The song that makes me cry the most is a song called "My Immortal" by Evanescence. Beautiful , but sad written lyrics. A very powerful song that brings me to tears from the very first line of the song being sung. Every time. Amy Lee can sing the hell out of that song.

My husband and my son both get really red. They have even been called "red man" They both hate it. Our doctor has no explanation. But I would talk to her doctor just to make sure everything is ok. We are all so different.

She could be dehydrated!

I would recommend that you mention this on the next trip to the pediatrician, but my guess is that she's overexerted or dehydrated.
