I was seeing a guy 4 afew weeks then he dumped me by txt. i dont understand why. We first met each other through my best friend she was tryin 2 fix me up with her boyfriends cousin and he happened 2 b there, i saw him afew times but didnt think of him in a boyfriend way cus he was older than me alot older.But we got 2getha and i realy liked him, we was only 2getha 4 awhile then introduced me 2 his family i thought we must of been serious but on bonfire nite i brung him 2 meet afew friends and watch sum fireworks but it didnt go so well, my friends acted like kids and it must made him feel uncomfortable cus hes 30 not 17.Then the day after i didnt see him and he sent me a txt sayin we werent getin on and hes tried 2 make it beta but he cant its not workin why did he do it was it me? Afew days lata he txt me 2 c how i was when i txt bk he said he was glad i replied. i realy care 4 him but i dont no wot 2 do.

Your silly friends messed it up....you may be mature enough but your friends are not. 30 is rather old for you though !!

He sounds like a nice guy but to be honest, it was doomed from the start as he is way too old for you. I would thank him for the good times and tell him you understand what he is saying and that although you are sad, you will get over it. He sounds like he does care about you but he knows it will never work out.

He probably just thinks the age difference is too much, he's probably thinking about a family, whilst you need to be out with your mates now. Stay friends with him if you can! Good luck,

he obviously doesn't see a future for you - possibly because of the age difference. cut contact now and don't prolong the break up that will only make it harder for you.
i'm sorry you had to go through this but there are other people out there who will want a future with you.

he sounds a little confused. maybe the age gap is playing a major factor. who knows his friend and family could be saying stuff making not sure about being with you. best of luck sweetie hope it works out. maybe just take things slow and be friends first.

I think seeing your friends just was a harsh reminder of your age. Probably when your alone its easy to not think about that but confronted by your peers it was abit of a wakeup call.

no offense but i think he thinks he's to old or mature for you and just figure it would never work out. he didn't want to hurt you but maybe its best this way. It has to be the age difference

i would just let this one go, the age difference is too much and if he doesnt like being around ur friends (or if he hates it enough to dump u) then he doesnt really care about ur life
